Giving Back to Empower Women:
We at ISLAMICGEMS want to give back to society and help empower women around the world. Provide them with the type of help which will not just last for a day, or a few months, but for a lifetime; the type of support which will lead them to become self sufficient; the type of support which will lead them to help empower other women down the line. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “The most beloved deed before Allah is that which continuous, even if it is little.”
With Allahs blessings and your support we have been able to launch, run and even expand ISLAMICGEMS, and we are forever grateful for that. It is time we give back. 10% of all purchases YOU make at ISLAMICGEMS will now be used at KIVA to help women start/continue their own businesses around the world. You can follow the progress your help provides below.
What is KIVA:
Kiva is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Kiva works with microfinance institutions on five continents to provide loans to people without access to traditional banking systems. One hundred percent of your loan is sent to these microfinance institutions, which we call Field Partners, who administer the loans in the field. 100% of every dollar you lend on Kiva goes directly towards funding loans; Kiva does not take a cut. Furthermore, Kiva does not charge interest to our Field Partners, who administer the loans. KIVA also provides shariah-compliant loans. A key tenet of Islam is the prohibition of interest in the lending or accepting of money, and KIVA complies accordingly.
How KIVA WORKS:
1-Make a loan
3-Get paid back
